SMS Permissions

Why We Need Access:
We require access to your SMS messages to better assess your credit eligibility. This enables us to review all your SMS records, including sender names, transaction descriptions, and amounts, to evaluate your creditworthiness. However, only financial SMS data will be transmitted after filtering through our system.

How We Access and Use Your SMS Data:

Initial Access: Upon confirming this permissions page and authorizing SMS access, our app will review your SMS data locally without uploading any information. This step is solely for a preliminary credit check.

Ongoing Access: Each time you click the "Apply" button to request pre-approval, the app will collect recent SMS data (limited to several months’ worth and a few thousand messages) focused on financial transactions.

Selective Upload: Only SMS messages containing financial-related keywords will be uploaded for analysis. Previously uploaded messages will not be re-uploaded.

Local Storage: If you do not click the "Apply" button, your SMS data will remain on your device and will not be transferred to our servers.

Contact List Permissions

Purpose of Access:
To provide more convenient and personalized services, our app requires access to your contact list. We will only access necessary contact information and will not save, share, or use your data without your authorization.

All data transmission and storage comply with relevant laws, regulations, and security standards on our server https://fonzanbefence.modoscore.com. You can enable or disable this permission anytime in your system settings. Disabling this permission may limit certain app features.

App List Permissions

Details Collected:

Whether the app is a pre-installed system app

App name, version number, first installation date, last update date, and package ID

Usage Limitation:
We only use information from financial apps. If you do not click the "Apply" button on the homepage, none of this data will be transmitted or processed.

Device Information Permissions

Purpose of Access:

Display and brightness settings, CPU and performance details

Call Log Permissions

Purpose of Access:
To enhance your service experience, our app requests access to your call log. Rest assured that we do not collect or store call content.

Data Collected:
Only basic information related to call logs, such as call time, duration, and contacts, is collected.  All data is transmitted securely using industry-standard encryption and stored on our servers https://fonzanbefence.modoscore.com.

A UNIQUE SECURITY

In this Privacy Policy, all terms that are capitalized will carry the same definitions as those found in our Conditions of Use, unless specified otherwise (when relevant).

THE FOLLOWING IS WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED ABOUT YOU

We need you to grant an authorization for your online loan data access rights, credit card data access rights, and CRB credit reference authorization from the Uganda Credit Reference Bureau. Based on this data, we will generate a comprehensive credit score for you, which will help us assess your current creditworthiness and in turn provide you with more accurate credit assessments and personalized services.

(1)online loan data access rights

We will inquire about your borrowing records on online lending platforms, including information such as the amount borrowed, repayment status, and overdue records. This data helps us understand your borrowing behavior and repayment ability, so as to assess your credit risk.

Purpose description: To help us assess your online lending credit history and determine whether your borrowing behavior is standard and whether there are any overdue payments.

Data scope: Including your borrowing records, historical repayment status, and possible overdue information on major online lending platforms.

(2) credit card data access rights

We will check your credit history with the credit card company, including credit card limit, usage, repayment status and possible overdue balances. Credit card data allows us to have a more comprehensive understanding of your credit level and spending power.

Purpose description: To help us assess your credit card usage, determine whether you repay on time, whether you have excessive borrowing, and your credit card management capabilities.

Data scope: Includes information on the use of all credit card accounts, repayment records, credit card limits, outstanding balances, etc.

(3)Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) credit reference authorization

We will inquire about relevant data from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), including your personal credit report and historical credit behavior. The CRB credit report generally includes your personal identification information, credit account records, loan records, repayment history, etc., to help us assess your overall creditworthiness.

Purpose description: Providing a credit report from an authoritative credit assessment agency helps us comprehensively assess your credit rating, determine your repayment ability and historical credit performance.

Data scope: Includes all your credit accounts, loan records and related repayment information in Uganda.

We will combine the above three data to generate your comprehensive credit score. This score will provide you with a comprehensive credit rating based on your online loan data, credit card data, and CRB credit reference.

USING THE DATA WE HAVE COLLECTED ABOUT PARTICULAR INDIVIDUALS

We are permitted to use the personal information we have gathered for legally mandated purposes.

1. Your personal information may be used for the following purposes:

(1) To confirm your identity, register you as a user, and monitor your credit and account status;

(2) Before setting up an account for you, we will carry out any necessary assessments or checks;

(3) To determine creditworthiness and develop methods for credit evaluation;

(4) To address your inquiries and feedback;

(5) To enhance, assess, update, and tailor the program to better meet your needs as a user;

(6) To fulfill the objectives outlined in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, we may send you automated or prerecorded emails or text messages (SMS);

(7) To track and analyze user behavior and characteristics, including their use of the application's features and any emerging trends.

2. We will always ensure that your personal information is handled securely and used for only the essential purposes, although it may be used for broader goals.

(1) To manage the company's core operations;

(2) To monitor program usage and support, manage, and improve its features, functionality, and user satisfaction;

(3) To resolve technical issues or application defects;

THE DISSEMINATION OF THE INFORMATION THAT WE HAVE GATHERED
